Maleny Chocolate Company started as Lief Chocolates at the Eumundi markets in 2006 and has made its chocolate in the Sunshine Coast hinterland since moving to Maleny in 2008. The bars are Belgian couverture loaded with local toppings, cream from Maleny Dairies over the back fence, honeycomb made from scratch, and macadamias, citrus and coffee grown on site. The factory outlet runs free tastings and chocolate-making workshops, tucked in a rainforest courtyard off Maple Street, an hour from Brisbane.
