Mona-Lisa Ceramics

Mona-Lisa Klavus trained in watercolour and porcelain painting in Finland before taking up pottery after moving to Sydney, and that background shows in the surface work: Mishima inlay, fine stripy line work, scalloped rims, a recurring blue-and-white palette. From a home studio in Oyster Bay she makes functional pieces for daily use, platters, mugs, vases and planters, alongside ceramic garden bells hung with hand-carved wooden clappers. She has sold through the same Etsy shop since 2014.
