Dr Harry Tulloch planted the vineyard in 1971 on the basaltic volcanic soils of the Mount View range; the vines are past fifty now. Scott Stephens has made the wine since 2012 — hand-picked fruit, oak ageing, a little over 30,000 bottles a year. A new winery and barrel hall came with the rebuild, and you can taste from tank and barrel there.
