Peter Nicol planted the first vines here in 1997, in the limestone soils just outside Geelong. His kids Jack and Katherine took over in 2015, opening the hillside restaurant that now runs lunch Thursday to Sunday and dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. The wines — Shiraz since 2001, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir not long after — are poured alongside a kitchen that's now ten years old.
