The family behind these expeditions traces back to 1963, when Rodney Fox survived a great white attack off Aldinga Beach, invented the first shark diving cage and set out to change how people saw the animal. His son Andrew Fox now leads liveaboard trips of two to five nights aboard the MV Rodney Fox to the Neptune Islands off Port Lincoln — the only liveaboard working these waters. Guests dive from a surface cage or the world-exclusive ocean-floor cage, so even non-divers can go down, alongside sea lion swims and shore parties. The office is at 107 Henley Beach Road, Mile End.
