Owen Kenyon opened Rubicon in the Griffith shops in 1999 and has run it ever since, which in Canberra makes it close to permanent. Four small rooms rather than one, so it never feels like a dining floor. The kitchen is technically assured if not especially restless, the wine list is sommelier-led, and there's no BYO. Dinner only, Monday to Saturday from 5.30.
