Springbrook LyrebirdRetreat

High on the Springbrook Plateau in the Gold Coast hinterland, surrounded by virgin rainforest, this is a couples-only retreat of two cabins and two cottages, each private and self-contained. Every one has a double spa bath, an electric fireplace and a kitchenette, with a two-night minimum. It is run as a not-for-profit by the Australian Rainforest Conservation Society, and the profits from a stay go to on-ground rainforest regeneration nearby. It suits couples who want quiet and the forest at the door.
