Peter McAppion's frustration with hollow, head-heavy beers led him to build Thorny Devil from scratch, using rainwater and German techniques on custom home-made equipment. The range swings wide — Kakadu Plum Sour, Choc-Maple Oak Aged Imperial Stout, Wild Lime Gose — with native Australian ingredients doing real work rather than mere novelty.
