On Newlands Road in the Moreton Bay hinterland, Corey Damiani and Taylah Scott-Buchanan run a small pick-your-own patch that shifts with the seasons: pre-picked strawberries from June, pick-your-own strawberries through September, then a pumpkin patch, sunflowers and watermelons later in the year. It's cash only, open 8am to 4pm, and run without a website, its picking weekends and what's ready announced instead through Facebook. The farm sits in Wamuran's strawberry-growing district north-west of Brisbane, an area better known for its large commercial growers, which makes a genuinely small, family-run patch worth seeking out for visitors wanting to pick fruit rather than buy it from a stall. It joined the town's F.A.M — Food, Art, Music — festival in 2025, a sign of a farm building a local following beyond the regulars who already know the road.
