Lloyd Meadows opened Tortoise as a coffee window while he was still at high school, and named it for the pace he wanted. The merchandise says Slow Down, Take Your Time, No Rush. The reserve list is what justifies the detour: Bolivian Finca Takesi Geisha, Panamanian Finca Deborah, Australian Brewers Cup winning lots from Code Black and Toby's Estate, poured as espresso, filter or milk. New York style bagels are baked each morning.
