On the Corin Road in the Tidbinbilla country south-west of Canberra, Gibraltar Falls drops in a series of granite cascades through the mountain bush, an easy walk from the car park to a viewing area above the plunge. The falls run hardest in winter and spring, when snowmelt and rain swell the creek; by late summer they slow to a trickle. The surrounding Bullen Range and Namadgi high country make it a fine stop on a loop through the ranges. Scrambling near the top is dangerous and discouraged - admire it from the platform.
