김 타이러가 25세의 나이에 아버지 이안의 사망 후 갈라프레이를 인수했으며, 1970년대 후반에 심어진 포도나무를 상속받았는데 이제 그 진가를 드러내고 있다. 드라이 재배 방식의 마운트 바커 포도원은 리슬링, 카베르네 프랑(아홉 줄, 오크 처리 없음), 그리고 호주에서 거의 찾아볼 수 없는 뮬러-투르가우 품종을 생산한다. 와인들은 섬세하고 개성이 뚜렷하며 테이블 와인으로 만들어졌지 상 수집용이 아니다.
