The only snorkel and dive operator running directly from Townsville and Magnetic Island out to the Great Barrier Reef, working the central section of the reef since 1987 — the stretch well south of the Cairns crowds, and some of the best of it. Two sites set them apart: the S.S. Yongala, a passenger steamer that went down with all aboard in a 1911 cyclone and is now considered one of the finest wreck dives in the world, ninety kilometres offshore; and the Museum of Underwater Art at John Brewer Reef, Jason deCaires Taylor's submerged sculpture installation, dived and snorkelled on dedicated trips. Beyond those, a run of central-reef sites — Lodestone, Keeper, Wheeler, Davies — for coral gardens, drift dives and swim-throughs. PADI courses from first dive to divemaster, and an Ecotourism Australia certification held continuously since 2005. On Wulgurukaba and Bindal sea Country.
