Rod Berry and Phil Townsend founded Amber Lane after stumbling on a distillery during a stargazing trip to Coonabarabran in 2017. In the Yarramalong Valley, they double-distil through a 3,600-litre copper pot still — named the Mary Rose — and age in Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso Sherry and Kentucky Bourbon barrels, bottled without chill-filtration at higher strength.
