Thirty years of Moorabool Valley viticulture now runs through Scott Austin, the second generation managing single-vineyard pinot noir, chardonnay, riesling and shiraz from limestone soils an hour out of Melbourne. The cellar door at Sutherlands Creek opens Thursday to Sunday — unhurried, deliberately small-scale, the kind of operation where the winemaker and the viticulturalist are both on a first-name basis with the vines.
