Ben Laakmann opened b3 as a roast house on Blackwood's main road in 2016; Shana Knowles joined as co-owner two years on, and both still work the floor. The café pours single origins the team sources farm-direct, from Brazil's Tres Meninas to an Australian-grown lot out of Mareeba, each shot weighed to a recipe and remade if it misses. Small-batch roasting now runs from Somerton Park, and a coffee academy teaches the rest.
