Fil Barreca was 21 when a work trip to Sicily reoriented his life. He came home to Donnybrook, 40km south-east of Bunbury, and started planting. Today the estate runs to 46 hectares — predominantly Shiraz, with Barbera, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Malbec in the mix — plus an olive plantation producing estate-bottled extra virgin oil. Kelly runs the cellar door. Everything here is 100% estate grown and bottled.
