The homestead at Beauty Point Cottages was hauled by bullock dray from Lefroy, a gold-mining settlement across the river, in the 1880s, and successive owners have built its garden since. Pear trees from Thomas Haslam's orchard remain among the rockeries, stone steps and creek. Two studio cottages overlook the Tamar River, Bay with a spa bath and Cove with easy access, and breakfast is taken on each private verandah.
