When Scottish immigrant George Guthrie stumbled on a clay deposit on the Bendigo goldfields in the 1850s, he reportedly declared it perfect for pots — and built Australia's oldest working pottery on the spot. Still operating in Epsom, the site spans working studios, a museum of Australian ceramics, and hands-on clay sessions. The Heritage and Organic Collections sell from the gallery shop.
