Between the townships of Brunswick Heads and Ocean Shores, this reserve takes in the coast where the Brunswick River meets the sea, including New Brighton Beach and Harrys Hill Beach. The North Head walking track is an easy route through endangered littoral rainforest with views over the river. Loggerhead and green turtles are among the threatened species recorded here, eagles and kites work the shoreline, and migrating whales pass in season. A picnic area on the Brunswick River serves canoeists, anglers and birdwatchers as much as walkers.
