Sam Hewson started homebrewing out of a shipping container before he and Claire opened Flamin Galah on Erina Road, Huskisson, as a proper brewpub in 2021 — built largely by hand, Sam being a former carpenter. By 2022 they were turning out 130,000 litres a year for the Jervis Bay crowd. The hot pink branding hasn't changed since the backyard days.
