The bakery in Whitemark, the main town of Flinders Island in Bass Strait, run as an enterprise of the Flinders Island Aboriginal Association. It bakes on site each day: bread, rolls, cakes and a pie warmer that runs to wallaby, chicken and corn, and the scallop pies that have won competitions, their decals stuck up in the front window. It is the island's bakery and its lunch-hour hub, so locals and visitors get there early before the good things go. Eat in at the tables or take away, and it caters island events too.
