Western Australia's first cool-climate vineyard, planted on the Pearce family property in Mount Barker in 1965, Forest Hill has been dry-farming its old vines ever since — no irrigation, low yields, concentrated fruit. Winemakers Liam Carmody and Guy Lyons work riesling, chardonnay, cabernet and shiraz from the same site, now family-owned for nearly three decades. The wines taste like they know where they're from.
