Housed in the former Foster post office and residence, built in 1890, this local museum traces the district's history from the 1870 gold discovery through the dairy and fishing industries to the 1906 establishment of Wilsons Promontory, Victoria's first national park. Outdoor buildings include the old Agnes School, the Foster Lock Up and a 120-year-old farm cottage. Regional history books are sold on site.
