A declared fossicking area in the rugged Harts Range of the eastern Northern Territory, reached by a signposted track off the Plenty Highway about 34 kilometres past the Gemtree Caravan Park. The draw here is almandine garnet: well-formed specimen crystals up to a few centimetres, plus darker fragments clear enough to cut, recovered by wet or dry sieving. This is old mica-mining country. Bush camping is allowed but there are no facilities on site, so water and supplies must be carried in.
