At the foot of the Porongurup Range, this long-running Thai kitchen builds its cooking around an organic garden of Asian herbs and vegetables grown on the property, with locally sourced meat and seafood and no MSG. The result has drawn attention well beyond the district, including a run of six consecutive years in the Australian Gourmet Traveller guide. Service is deliberately limited to a handful of lunch and dinner sittings from Friday to Sunday, and bookings are strongly advised given the small dining room and remote setting. A bamboo and cactus nursery shares the site, part of a working farm below the national park. For a hamlet with little else in the way of dining, it is a genuine destination in its own right.
