An Italian food and wine emporium on O'Connell Street, North Adelaide, run by the Caporaso family since Imma and Mario opened their first neighbourhood deli in 1972. The shelves hold imported pasta, tinned tomatoes, oils, antipasto, amaro and grappa, with a counter for coffee and sweets. Bar Mercato pours aperitivo and serves dinner Thursday to Saturday. Orders ship Australia-wide.
