The 55-metre tower Robin Boyd designed in 1969 — completed after his death by Ted Ashton and opened in 1974 — still marks the Goulburn River skyline. Mitchelton specialises in Shiraz, Riesling, and Rhône blends grown on alluvial river sediments fed by the granite Strathbogie Ranges. The 54-room Hecker Guthrie hotel arrived in 2018. Cellar door, day spa, and river views included.
