The cellar door operates out of a heritage-listed schoolhouse built in 1866, five kilometres north of Orange — a setting that does most of the talking before a glass is poured. Mortimers has been family-run since 1995, producing cool-climate wines from one of NSW's higher-altitude regions. Good Food named it among the state's top 15 cellar doors.
