Opened in April 1996 after years of community organising, this volunteer-run museum occupies a timber building on Mitchell Street whose footprint runs all the way through to Bury Street. Out back: locomotives and heavy machinery. Inside: artefacts, photographs, and a reference library documenting Nambour and the former Maroochy Shire. Smaller than it looks from the street; considerably more than it appears once you're in.
