Opened in November 2014, this Albany museum sits above King George Sound — the exact water from which Anzac convoys departed. The architecture is deliberately telescopic, framing those departures through floor-to-ceiling glass. Inside, multimedia displays tell the war through individual soldiers' stories, developed jointly by the Western Australian Museum and the Australian War Memorial. Uncommonly, it takes no pro- or anti-war position.
