A Greek patisserie and café on Eaton Mall in Oakleigh, opened in 1987 by Nick and Tass Poupouzas and still run by the family, with son Michael now making the cakes. It started as a single-shopfront bakery when Oakleigh was an industrial backwater, and grew into a 300-seat room that anchors the mall and helped make the suburb Melbourne's Greek dining heart. The cabinets hold Greek sweets like galaktoboureko alongside elaborate wedding and celebration cakes, with Greek coffee and a Mediterranean menu. It runs late into the night.
