A small Macedon Ranges winery at Carlsruhe, established by Will Fraser in 2005 and now made by Geoff Plahn. A single hectare of 20-year-old estate vines — Pinot Noir, Riesling and Pinot Gris — is worked with minimal intervention at around 550 metres, with a wider range built from Macedon and Heathcote growers' fruit. The wines hold a five-star Halliday rating. The cellar door, in a converted Clydesdale-stable barn that also hosts dinners and events, opens weekends, 11am to 5pm.
