Sawdust Bureau

Irish-born architect-turned-maker Bryan Cush founded Sawdust Bureau in 2012, running his studio from the Woowookarung Forest outside Ballarat. The work draws on Scandinavian and Japanese influences filtered through Australian indigenous timbers — award-winning pieces like the Pinch Noir bench and Dining Island have appeared in film, major design awards, and galleries nationally. The Treemaker Initiative pledges 1% of income to tree planting.
