Twelve suites sit right on Macquarie Harbour, built from Tasmanian timbers and hung with local artwork — some at the water's edge, others backing into rainforest. The waterfront restaurant opens nightly from 5:30pm, running local seafood against an all-Tasmanian wine list. It's the western edge of a UNESCO World Heritage wilderness, and the closest decent bed to it.
