Sosta opened at the east end of Rundle Street in 2004 with a wood-fire grill designed and built on site — fired every service since. Asado sits at the core, Spanish and Italian at the edges, the menu kept deliberately simple "to replicate the cooking of any home in Argentina." The same family has run the room — red brick, white linen, ember light — for twenty-one years. Handmade empanadas to start; dry-aged beef off the coals to follow. Dinner Tuesday to Saturday, lunch on Fridays.
