On the eastern bank of the River Murray beside the Swanport Bridge, a nationally significant wetland of more than nineteen hectares, three and a half of them open water ringed by bulrushes and busy with birdlife. A 1.2-kilometre walking trail and boardwalk cross the reserve, a bird hide overlooks the water, and an elevated interpretive area gives a panoramic view over the wetland with seats to pause and listen. Most of the area is accessible to visitors with limited mobility, including wheelchair access, minutes from the centre of Murray Bridge.
