Tom Ward's family has farmed this district since 1867; the winery itself took shape when the first vines went in at Canowindra in 1995. Now operating from 900 metres above sea level on south-facing volcanic slopes around Mount Canobolas, Ward focuses on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The cellar door runs from simple tastings to a five-course degustation, all with views over Hill Park vineyard.
