The counter runs to a plain-spoken 'Fed not Fleeced' creed: generous rolls of freshly roasted chicken, sausage rolls, vegan options and cabinet sweets, priced for locals rather than tour buses. The high-ceilinged former club room, with its outdoor deck, has become a genuine community room as much as a bakehouse, and its position near the Munda Biddi and Bibbulmun trails makes it a fuelling point for cyclists and walkers emerging from the karri.
