A chemical engineer turned brewer, Adam Hardy spent years wholesaling around Newcastle's pubs before opening this brewpub in a derelict turn-of-the-century building on Union Street in 2020. Twelve taps and four English hand-pumps pour his own beer — XPA, cask bitter, a ginger beer — brewed on site. The fit-out is exposed brick and reupholstered bus seats; a gig room out back and an events-only rooftop make live music the other half of it.
