Satomi Yamano works a set of Japanese crafts by hand from a shop in South Melbourne Market: mizuhiki, the twisting and knotting of paper cord, which becomes earrings; ai-zome indigo dyeing, which gives her scarves their deep shibori blues; and traditional kimono silk cut into bags, scrunchies and snoods. She grew up in these traditions in Japan before moving to Melbourne. Soy candles and diffusers round out the range, alongside the online store.
