Austrian-born Monika Spalding grew up around her grandfather's copper still in Kossen; she and husband Brad — a former Thredbo ski school director — opened this Snowy Mountains distillery in 2003 using a German-made Ulrich Kothe still. The range runs from fruit liqueur schnapps to gin and vodka, with mountain water from the Thredbo Valley doing the heavy lifting. Brad's sculptures dot the grounds.
