1000 Degrees Glass Studios

Bethany Wheeler founded this 230sqm Moorabbin-fringe studio in 2013, and it shows its working: kilns, sandblasting bay, cold-working bench, wax and mould room. The output ranges from fused and slumped glass bowls to screen-printed enamel panels and lost-wax cast lenses. Now Wheeler's private fabrication studio, it occasionally opens for kiln hirings and cold-working sessions by appointment.
McClelland Sculpture Park and Gallery

Sixteen hectares of bushland at Langwarrin, with more than 100 large-scale sculptures standing among the trees. The not-for-profit runs on entry fees and donations, which keeps the park open Wednesday to Sunday alongside an indoor gallery, education programs, and Harry's Cafe. Moorabbin-based Ashbuilt Customs takes commissions for timber furniture — dining tables, bookshelves, entertainment consoles — finishing each piece with specialised beeswax rather than synthetic coatings. The process runs from in-person consultation through co-designed 3D visuals to a handover photo album documenting the build. Relocation and refinishing services keep pieces viable across decades. The logic is straightforward: furniture worth inheriting shouldn't need replacing.
National Vietnam Veterans Museum
