Mudgee's listings are overwhelmingly about wine: thirty-one of thirty-nine entries sit in the small-batch category, spread across Mudgee itself, Eurunderee's cluster of cellar doors, and smaller nodes at Buckaroo, Apple Tree Flat and Budgee Budgee. These are mostly family-run operations, several generations deep, with cellar doors doubling as the main visitor experience rather than elaborate restaurant add-ons. Everything else is thin by comparison — a single bookshop and gallery-shop in town, one cheesemaker, a gallery and a museum, a lone Hill End pottery studio, two boutique stays.
