Jim and Kay Mobbs planted their first Chardonnay vines on the Hastings River alluvial flats in 1985. Four decades on, their eldest son Ian — a Canberra-trained landscape architect — has built a Lilly Pilly hedge maze across the property, with daughter Kellie's flora-and-fauna label art on the bottles. A working cattle farm that happens to pour its own wine.
