BENCH roasts its own coffee in a Brunswick production room it shares with the Little Cardigan bakery, where Shokupan toast and pastries come out alongside the espresso. Founded in 2014, it now runs five inner-Melbourne sites, each with its own brief: a flagship espresso bar on Lt Collins, an atrium café on St Kilda Road, and Saint Dreux, a Japanese kissaten inside Emporium serving Katsu Sando and Castella. Blends rotate by season.
