Black & Ginger Wines

Black & Ginger Wines is a small-batch Grampians producer, established in 2015 by winemaker Hadyn Black and his best mate Darcy (the ginger). Today Lucy, Hadyn's wife and co-owner, runs sales and brand. We grow some fruit at our certified organic Hounds Run Vineyard and buy from local growers.

The Black & Ginger Wine Shed is a laid-back, eclectic hideaway: pull up a chair or sink into a lounge. Sip Your Way lets you choose three or six wines to share, while signature tasting Jam & Juice pairs four wines with playlists curated by the team. Boardgame nights, karaoke, collaborative dinners with local chefs and after-dark art nights keep every visit different, and dogs are welcome year-round.

Expect an unscripted, owner-run welcome from Hadyn or Lucy and adventurous, alternative varietals alongside regional classics.

Open Thursday–Sunday, 12–6pm, with food from neighbouring Barney's Bar & Bistro Friday–Sunday, 12–2pm. Come for the wine, stay for the shenanigans. Stay longer in the Hounds Run Tiny House and sleep among the vines.
