A sheep farm in Richmond until 2018, Caledon is now 11 hectares of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and four other varietals grown on dolerite soils between stands of native gum. The cellar door — faced in sandstone quarried on-site — looks out over the Coal River Valley to kunanyi. The fruit goes to Spring Vale on the East Coast to be made into wine.
