A Japanese 'design food space' in Collingwood, run by founders Zenta and Meg since 2008. One half is a store of Japanese homewares and design, from Hakusan porcelain and Sori Yanagi to Tendo Mokko furniture and Noguchi's Akari lights, alongside a grocer of Japanese pantry goods. The other is a café built around the traditional Japanese breakfast it brought to Melbourne, with a coffee bar, sake and oden, and seasonal workshops. Equal parts shop, kitchen and gathering place.
