Cobb's takes its name from the corner it stands on. Cobb & Co coaches drew up outside this building at Sturt and Lydiard in the middle of the nineteenth century, and Brendan Wrigley — back in Ballarat after working at Rosslyn in London — decided a firm known for speed and consistency was a fair thing to name a coffee shop after. He opened in December 2020 with the Kensington roaster Rumble. Milk coffees run on one blend; black espresso and filter rotate through the single origins. Sandwiches, pastries from 1816 Bakehouse, beans and gear to take home. Doors at half past six.
